Scott, Joelle and Rive-Anais quiz night
Following Rive-Anais dream to visit Disneyland Paris this year her mum and dad, Joelle and Scott, contacted us to let us know they were organising a fundraising quiz in their local pub! Their quiz fundraised for us and also International Rett Syndrome Foundation which raised nearly £6,000 in total!
Cycle, Run, Scoot!
Amazing effort from Olwen, Annabelle, Lucie and Patrick cycling, running and scootering a whopping 83km to fundraise for us and raising an incredible £500 in the process. We can't thank you enough! You should be very proud of yourselves! They finished their incredible challenge in style by crossing the finish line at the fun run. 100% of this donation will go directly towards creating dreams for poorly children.

Liam Staniland - London Marathon
London Legend. Liam ran the 2025 London Marathon in an incredible 3:27:59 and has raised over £2,000 for our charity. Well done, Liam.

Play Valley Fundraising
We're delighted to share that this summer, the Create a Dream Foundation teamed up with Play Valley to help bring joy to children who need it most. Play Valley have been hosting a range of fun, family-friendly activities across their centres, all in aid of our charity. Many of these activities could be joined for a small donation, starting from just £1 and they have worked incredibly hard to raise a fantastic amount of money for us.
Create A Dream - Beautiful Things Event
Thank you from the botom of our hearts. Our biennial fundraising and thank you event was nothing short of magical. An incredibly well support event that might have been our greatest night ever. As the evening unfolded, we did a quick count and estimated we’d raised between £17,000 and £18,000 already - incredible. After going through everything in detail, we're absolutely thrilled to confirm the total is much closer to £18,000! Every single penny will go directly towards creating awareness and unforgettable dream experiences for seriously & terminally ill children across South Yorkshire. Whether it's meeting a hero, visiting a dream destination, or simply bringing joy during tough times, you've helped make that happen. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, attended, volunteered, and cheered us on. You are the reason we can keep making these dreams possible.
Create A Dream Foundation quiz night
What a great night at Holiday Inn Doncaster for our first charity quiz. A special mention to our amazing quiz master, Martin Havenhand, and also to the winning team, VARs Revenge. You were brilliant! Thank you to everyone who supported this event by attending, buying raffle tickets or donating raffle prizes. Prizes were donated by ARN Diagnostics, Dobson & Hodge Ltd, True Potential Wealth Management and Aford Mortgages - LM10.
Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club
Thanks to everyone at Doncaster Rovers Supporters Club for their support in helping us raise awareness of our charity across the fan base and local area. All money raised from donations, individual challenges or corporate support will go towards creating dream like experiences for seriously and terminally ill children in our region. A massive thank you to Chloe & Anastasia from IQ Century Square for walking from Sheffield to Manchester (71km) all in aid of our charity. The amount of money you raised was outstanding and we think you are amazing people!
Waterfront Golf Club
A huge thank you to Waterfront Golf Club who have raised an enormous £4,353 for our charity. Captain Jamie Clarke and his wife Lesley from Greensleeves Doncaster, selected us as the Captains Charity and raised this incredible amount after a huge amount of work at their Captains Charity day event. This money will directly fund a dream for a poorly child in our region.
Liam Staniland - Berlin Marathon 2024
A huge well done to Liam Staniland for completing the Berlin Marathon 2024. Not only did Liam smash a great time of 3:27, but he also raised over £1,000 for our charity. Thank you, Liam!
The Handsworth Inn music festival
The Handsworth Inn you have done yourselves proud! Thank you to everyone involved in creating this two day music festival event and for raising an amazing £1,182 for us. As always, 100% of the funds raised will be used to fund creating dreamlike experiences for poorly children. Events like these don't just raise money, but also raise awareness of our charity. Thanks again, you are all heroes!
Birkfest
We are absolutely overwhelmed by the kindness of the organisers of Birkfest 2024. Of all of the amazing charities doing amazing work in the local area, you chose us. A donation of £5,000 can do so much for our charity and we promise you that 100% of it will go directly towards a dream for a child that so richly deserves it. Radius - Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge
Well done to the Radius Aerospace employees who completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Friday, 21st June. Completing the walk in 12 hours, they were all covered in blisters but had a fantastic time. The team have raised over £3,000 to help children in need. Thank you, Radius!
SWFC legends event
Thank you so much to all involved in this fantastic event. Both the evening dinner and the legends game combined to create a unforgettable weekend for the charity. Over £7,500 was raised by the Sheffield Wednesday Community Foundation over the two days.
Kerry and Brad - half marathon runners

Thank you to the amazing 35 runners who completed the Sheffield Half Marathon while raising money for our charity. It was an absolutely fantastic day and we were blown away by your effort and support for our charity.
Radius Aerospace
We would like to give another gigantic thank you to all the employees at Radius Aerospace Bramah in Sheffield for their ongoing support! They have supported us for many years now in various ways! One way they do this is by an employee contribution scheme. This means that a percentage (or fixed amount) gets deducted from their wages each month and donated to us! The staff simply opt in or out of the scheme with their accounts department. So from the bottom of our hearts can we say thank you to all you lovely people who have helped and continue to help us so much.
Gripple raise over £28,000
We must once again give a massive thank you to the amazing Gripple. Gripple staff raised over £28,000 for us in 2023. This incredible fundraising effort will create many amazing experiences for South Yorkshire children in 2024 and 2025. We don't know how to even begin to thank you all.

Wow Wow Wow! What an amazing party we held at Club Baize to celebrate our fundraisers and the kids they have raised money for. You are all superstars! We raised OVER £15,000! Gripple - Charity of the year
We are doing a happy Friday dance here at our HQ as we have heard the very exciting news that Gripple Limited Sheffield Branch have chosen us for their charity of the year! Gripple actively encourage their employees to fundraise for charities of their choice and here is a pic of the lovely Laszlo and his colleagues showing off what looks to be a very scrumptious carrot cake that is part of his fundraising efforts to secure funding from his employers to only go and climb Mount Kilimanjaro for us! It warms our hearts every day to meet the fantastic people that we do and their selfless efforts to fundraise to help us provide Dream like experiences to more seriously ill and disabled children in South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.

Thank you to Tufcot for your support in 2022! Your variety of fundraising activities has been amazing. From throwing eggs at the boss, to wrapping your colleagues up in tin foil, we’ve enjoyed seeing the activities throughout 2022. Archie's run
We would like to say an enormous thank you and massive congratulations to 6 year old Archie from Sheffield for completing his 3 mile run to fundraise for us! Archie decided he wanted to raise some money “to help poorly children smile” and set himself a target of running 3 miles which at 6 years old is no mean feat! Archie not only complete his run but he also raised well over £900 in the process! Absolutely outstanding Archie thank you so much!

On 30th June 2019, we were delighted to be able to secure some VIP time for some of our beneficiaries at The Owls In The Park breakfast event held by Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. After being treated to breakfast our young stars and their families were able to meet the Sheffield Wednesday players, and even given a behind the scenes tour of the changing rooms.

Terneesha's dream to Harry Potter World in December 2018

Oliver's dream to Legoland in November 2018
We are writing to say a huge thank you for making Oliver’s dream of visiting Legoland come true. After you’d so kindly arranged our trip, we kept it a secret from Oliver and his siblings, until the morning we were going. We woke the children super early and packed up the car and it wasn’t until they spotted the signs they knew where we were going. As I’m sure you can imagine it was hysteria! They screamed and cried with joy!
Our first major dream was for Stanley and his family as they visited Legoland in May 2018
Lego lover Stanley is a very brave boy from our area who is fighting acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Diagnosed in 2017 he has a 3 year treatment plan and is being looked after by Sheffield's excellent Childrens Hospital. Stanley's dream was inspired by his love for lego and we were delighted to send him for a weekend trip. As you can see Stanley loved his dream as much as we loved creating it for him.
A team of Doncasters Bramah staff and friends took to the mud in July 2018 to raise funds for us
Thank you so much to all those involved who were prepared to go to these extremes in the name of charity. Doncasters Bramah are a huge supporter of our charity, and recently announced us as their primary charity with many of their staff making monthly payroll donations. Thank you all again for your fantastic support.
Lauren Ainger became our first major event fundraiser in April 2017 by running the London Marathon and raising a staggering £1,115
This was an amazing personal achievement by Lauren, and we are delighted that our charity was so fortunate to benefit from her efforts and start our first year of fundraising. Thank you again Lauren.
June 2017 was the official launch of our charity with a race and auction night in Sheffield
It was a hugely successful evening both in terms of raising funds, and for our profile in the area. Trustee Adam Ainger did a fantastic job as compare, and we incredibly raised over £7,000 on the night. We were blessed with so many kind donations to our auction that it's impossible to thank everyone here. Special thanks go to everyone who came and who gave us a launch night to remember.
