Lenny's dream - Center Parcs
Five year old Lenny has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which after being diagnosed in 2021, has had a great effect on his life.
His limbs, especially his legs, are very tight and painful so he needs twice daily physio, hydrotherapy and to wear splints on his legs all night long.
Lenny's dream was for his family to visit Center Parcs for a much needed holiday!
Lenny's mum, Kirsty, sent us these comments upon their return:
"We've just got back from our fabulous time away. Lenny didn't want to leave and was very upset this morning and he said this dream was everything he wished for and more.
We saw several red squirrels and on our last morning a deer at our lodge.
With the spending money the charity gave us we ate in Lenny's favourite places, he was also a chocolate chef for an afternoon, went off roading in Land Rovers (twice!), did adventure golf, den building, held a baby owl and went bowling. We went swimming every day, even late in the evening and Lenny went down the big slides several times over, he would whoop and scream going down them! It really was magical and the lodge was perfect for his needs. We also took his trike and went out on it several times.
Lenny wanted to thank you and the charity by writing on the huge chalk wall in our lodge! See the photo.
Thank you so much again,
Kirsty, Ian, & Lenny.
