Chester's dream - New Year's Eve fireworks

Chester’s dream was to witness the New Year's Eve firework display in London.

Now this may seem like something very straightforward, but owing to Chester's illnesses which aren’t limited to cerebral palsy, breathing in firework smoke is an absolute no no.

Chester was born at 26 weeks as a twin, hospitalised from birth, suffering multiple cardiac arrests, one of which took 15 minutes to resuscitate, causing catastrophic brain damage. He requires 24-hour care, which is solely carried out by his parents, Ian and Lisa, with the love and support of his sister Rhianna.

In order to facilitate this dream, we arranged for a penthouse view from the Park Plaza Hotel London Riverbank which overlooks the Thames. This meant that Chester could view the full display in the safety of his room, thanks to a fully glazed overviewing balcony!

Ian and Lisa told us that Chester has always enjoyed trips to London, along with all the sightseeing that it entails, and we couldn’t wait to put this together.

We would wholeheartedly like to thank the Advanta Foundation who made this trip possible and a Chester's dream come true!
